Our Commitment to Privacy
This website is owned and operated by Watermark. Our intention is to communicate information to parties interested in learning more about our organization and its mission. Watermark is committed to protecting visitors’ privacy. Profile information collected through this site is used exclusively for the purpose of member identification and events. It is our policy not to sell or share the personal information that is provided to us with any other organization or individual. In the event that Watermark partners with an outside organization to host an event, all correspondence will continue to be sent through Watermark. However, we reserve the right to share attendance lists with partner organizations for specific co-sponsored events.
This site is designed so that Watermark members can create online profiles and may access and update their information at any time. By requiring the use of a password, Watermark restricts access to this personal account information to those individuals to whom the information belongs and, when necessary, Watermark staff members. Watermark policy dictates that members are responsible for editing their own profile and contact information. In the event that this is not possible, Watermark staff reserves the right to edit a member profile and make only those changes that are necessary to provide the most accurate information.
Credit Card Security
When visitors use a credit card to pay for a membership or event fee online, secure server software that we have licensed encrypts all information input before it is sent to us. The information is scrambled en route and decoded once it reaches our Web site, thus ensuring a secure transmission. We do store credit card information in a secure password protected manner, accessible only to our staff. However, if visitors still prefer to pay via telephone using a credit card, they may do so by calling the Watermark office.
Membership fees are non-refundable. Fees for all Watermark events are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Watermark. In the case of a cancellation, your payment will be automatically credited to your credit card. Event fees cover food, beverage and administrative costs. The IRS does not permit membership fees or event fees to be deducted. But, as Watermark is a professional development organization, fees are oftentimes approved as professional development expenses and are authorized for reimbursement.
Third Party Links
We provide links to third party sites of interest to Watermark members. Since we do not operate these websites, we encourage visitors to review the privacy policies posted on these third party sites.
