Watermark’s annual celebration brings together the top women leaders in the Bay Area and awards six women who stand out among them

PALO ALTO, CALIF. – OCTOBER 28, 2014 - Watermark, a community of executive women who come together to connect, develop and advocate for one another,  have announced the six women leaders who will be recognized at this year’s Women Who Have Made Their Mark Awards on November 20.

The fourth annual Women Who Have Made Their Mark Awards honors members of Watermark who embody the organization’s vision of executive women coming together to forge purposeful, meaningful and lasting relationships that amplify their individual and collective impact.  This year’s honorees have brought about transformation and created a powerful, lasting impact, not only in their area of business, but also in the world.  The award is distinctive in that it has a unique multi-generational focus that reflects the organization’s values.  Watermark members appreciate the critical impact of sponsorship in achieving great success, as well as their responsibility to build a community of future women leaders.  The celebration ceremony will include the award winners as well as their sponsors and protégées.

This year’s award winners:

  • Shellye Archambeau, CEO of MetricStream
  • Mary Ann Bianco, VP of Customer Support at Oracle
  • Lynne Born, COO of Seiler LLP
  • Judy Little, VP of Strategic Partnerships at Ericsson
  • Danae Ringelmann, CDO & Co-founder of Indiegogo
  • Merline Saintil, Head of Operations of Mobile & Emerging Products at Yahoo

“This is the most powerful event of the year because we get to learn from and be inspired by our honorees’ stories: how they made their mark and who has helped them grow their careers along the way. We also hear from their protégées how these are women supporting those who will be future leaders,” says Marilyn Nagel, CEO of Watermark.

The Women Who Have Made Their Mark Awards will take place at the San Mateo Marriott SFO, California, on November 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The event is sponsored by Oracle, Seiler LLP, Yahoo, San Francisco State University, Merrill Lynch and MetricStream.
