Weekly Virtual Office Hours - 7 Seconds: First Impressions for Resumes and LinkedIn, with René Siegel

If you've recently faced a layoff or are preparing to make a change in your career, join René Shimada Siegel for an open Q&A as she shared tips for branding yourself for your future career. Discussions focus on how to catch the attention of employers—in a good way, how to stand out among applicants and will also include the differences (and benefits) between being a full-time executive leader or pursuing a contractor leadership path.

This will include a focus on:

  • Revisit Your Resume: A resume should always be updated, and these quick tips will make it stand-out in a down-economy by focusing on what to include and what to ditch in current formats.
  • Master Your LinkedIn Profile: The differences between just having a profile and owning your brand can be solved with a few powerful changes, leverage the most powerful part of LinkedIn
  • Develop Your Network: Networking is critical and gets the foot in the door; focusing on the right connects can leverage your search.
Watermark's new Weekly Virtual Office Hours are an opportunity to ask your questions and get immediate answers, solutions and recommendations for the issues that you face. The 30-45-minute session is face-to-face, allowing you and others to connect with the expert thinkers, leaders and solution-driven people you want to meet. Bring a cup of coffee, tea, and a snack during this personal and real conversation.
