Encore Careers Are All The Rage: What does it mean for you, for your organization, and for those you manage?

Millions of people are wrapping up their midlife careers (by choice or by necessity), but are nowhere near ready to stop working. They want to do something meaningful, something that makes a difference, something that pays. Maybe they’re on your team. Or maybe you’re one of them yourself.

Developing an encore career that combines passion, purpose and a paycheck is a challenge. Few pathways exist, so it's often a do-it-yourself project. Age discrimination is real. And too few organizations see the value of experienced mentors (and experienced learners) on the team. But thanks in part to the efforts of Encore.org and others, later-life work with social impact is growing in popularity and availability.

What does this mean for you, for those you manage, and for the future of work as we know it? In this webinar, you’ll hear from two members of the Encore.org team. Author and workplace expert Marci Alboher will provide an overview of the encore movement. Vibha Dixit will introduce one innovative model for late-career talent, Encore Fellowships. These fellowships are a pathway for seasoned professionals seeking a meaningful second act and a game-changing, cost-effective human resources pipeline for social sector organizations seeking experienced talent.
