Our Make Your Mark Awards signature event, Tuesday, Nov. 17, was filled to the brim with great energy, enthusiasm and celebrations of where we’ve been, how far we’ve come – and a common commitment to where we need to be and how to get there. Founded in 1974 by a group of Bay Area women scientists, mathematicians and educators, this volunteer organization has shown nearly 1 million girls what it means to be a woman in STEM via one-day conferences designed to encourage 6th-12th-grade girls to consider education and career options in science and mathematics.
Watermark has long been known as the organization for women executives in the Bay Area. But what about for women well on their way to top leadership positions?
