Watermark is pleased to support 50/50 Day
– a day dedicated to a global conversation about what it will take to get to a more gender-balanced world in all sectors of society: business, politics, culture, home and more.
50/50 Day is inspired by the film 50/50: Rethinking the Past, Present and Future of Women and Power, directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Tiffany Shlain.
The film highlights a 10,000 year history of women and power — from setbacks and uprisings, to the bigger context of where we are today.
And speaking of today – more than 11,000 events are going on in all 50 states and more than 65 countries, right now. Tune into the livecast – and if you're near the Oakland City Center BART station, stop by 17th and San Pablo and watch the creation of a Six Words on Gender Equality art installation. Find out how to contribute your #SixWords to the project.
If you're doing your own special 50/50 event or outreach, please tag @wtrmrk and #Watermark in your social media posts. We'll share them throughout the day.
Here's to 50/50, and to doing our part to accelerate the pace of positive change.
