Barbara Stinnett is a seasoned operating executive with over 25 years experience in enterprise and consumer markets, with P&L experience globally, managing start ups to $4B in businesses, 3,000+ employees. She is recognized for her customer centricity, leading change management, operational best practices, and bringing innovation to the companies served. She has a successful track record of creating and transitioning businesses from being product oriented, to value added providers of global solutions, giving them competitive advantage in their markets and bringing innovation to light in each company. Consultative selling and collaboration has been key to the success.
As a keynote speaker and advisor to several firms in the technologies and alternative energies market, she is a motivational leader, recognized for her customer centric approach to doing business, who’s developed best practices while at Hewlett Packard, and has progressed through her career, holding positions including CEO, President, COO, CSO, EVP, and Founder of her own firm.
She has led companies from public to private, driven significant turns for investors, and delivered EBITDA results beyond goals, using strong operational excellence best practices developed over the years. Her expertise in customer centric leadership, is in creating ‘unified faces’ for larger technology corporations, to allow ‘ease of doing business’ with major companies, which has resulted in delivering strong revenue streams inside given cost metrics, bringing growth and profitability.
Barb has led small and large mergers and acquisitions such as the HP/Compaq integration, and directed global business units, bringing a strong, global network of relationships and partnerships to help companies expand internationally.
Barbara has extensive practical knowledge, a pragmatic approach, and content expertise in global marketing, sales & services, including subject matter expertise in business intelligence & analytics, social collaboration, unified communications, media and entertainment, and global supply chain and manufacturing. She has led and managed geographic, multi-industry, and cross business segment teams in consumer, commercial, and government sectors.
Currently, as part of her successful company, she is key advisory to multiple CEOs and their teams on a global level in the technologies and alternative energies industries, on company strategy and competitive positioning, consultative selling and how to manage through key efforts around change management, operational management, and innovation to assist clients in the development of their new go to markets and execution programs.
Barbara holds degrees in Computer Science and International Business (languages and negotiations focus) from the University of Wisconsin.
René L. Kim
Senior Vice President, Shared Strategic Services – Product Services, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
René Kim is senior vice president of a shared services product management group for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. She is responsible for leading a centralized product development group covering the brokerage, individual retirement, trust, education and managed accounts and alternative investment platforms for Schwab and its individual investors and independent advisors. In addition, she is responsible for deposit product development for Schwab Bank and is a member of the Schwab Bank management committee.
René began her tenure at Schwab in April 1999, as head of Retail Core Product Management and Marketing. She has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services business. She began her career in consumer banking where she worked in almost all aspects of retail banking and marketing from branch work, to incentive programs, to new product development. She then spent five years managing product development and marketing for small business banking products. She also serves on the board of the Professional Business Women of California organization.
Her educational background includes bachelor degrees in English and Italian and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Davis.
